Popular sledding spots in the Merrimack Valley

Looking for a place to sled? Here are some popular local spots:

Andover High School, 80 Shawsheen Road

Notes: Plenty of parking, medium-grade slope empties into the baseball field.

Winnekenni Park, 347 Kenoza Ave.

Notes: City-owned conservation area of more than 700 acres. Sledders are advised to sled toward Kenoza Avenue (there's a buffer zone before you reach the street), otherwise, you could end up on the ice.

North Andover

Drummond Playground, Johnson and Milk streets

Notes: Playground in the town's Old Center. Plenty of parking.

Hickory Hill Golf Course, Route 113 near the Methuen-Dracut border

Notes: Park on the side of the road. The hill is just off the road.

Lawrence Reservoir, Reservoir Street, near Bellevue Cemetery

Notes: Possibly the best sledding spot in the area.

Was your favorite spot left off the list? Let us know.
