Update: Armed robbery suspect in Methuen driving silver Honda

METHUEN -- Police are searching for an armed robber who took money from the TD Bank branch on Pleasant Valley Street here at about 8 p.m.

The suspect is about 5-feet 8-inches tall, 220 pounds. He was wearing a blue hoodie, a white mask and a New York Yankees baseball hat. Police believe he may have left in a silver Honda Civic or Accord. The man showed a handgun during the robbery. No one was injured.

A silver Honda Accord was reported stolen from Lawrence at about the same time. Police are investigating whether there is a connection, but have no evidence yet that the incidents are related.

Police do not know whether tonight's robbery is connected to the robbery of another TD Bank branch on Broadway a week ago.
