1 man arrested in early-morning Methuen drug raid

METHUEN — One man was arrested and Oxycodone pills seized following a raid this morning on Pelham Street.

The Methuen Police Department Drug unit, with the assistance of a SWAT team from the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council, or NEMLEC, served a search warrant at 423 Pelham St. at approximately 5 a.m. today.

According to police, "the entry was rapid and no resistance was encountered."

Matthew J. Tropiano, 25, of 423 Pelham St. was arrested and charged with 2 counts distribution of class B (Oxycodone), 1 count possession of class B (Oxycodone) and 1 count possession with intent to distribute class B (Oxycodone).

The drug warrant was the result of an undercover drug investigation.
