Methuen High School student arrested for 'terroristic threats'

METHUEN — An 18-year-old Methuen High School student was arrested today after allegedly posting comments on his Facebook page that suggested he wanted to kill people and outdo the Boston Marathon bombings, police said. He's being held on $1 million bail.

Cameron B. Dambrosio, 18, 19 Glen Ave., was arrested on Pleasant Street at 1:35 p.m. and charged with terroristic threats, a felony with a penalty of up to 20 years, said Police Chief Joseph Solomon. The language was not directed at a specific person or target, officials said, but was a general threat of violence and terrorism.

"We have zero tolerance," he said. "We take these very seriously."
