Two hurt in 495 crash in Merrimac

MERRIMAC — Two men in their 30s were injured in a rollover crash on Interstate 495 south last night.

State police said both men were taken by ambulance to Lawrence General Hospital for treatment after the 6:09 p.m. crash.

Their injuries were described as serious.

A blue Mazda A6 hatchback was involved in the crash, which occurred between exits 53 and 54.

Two southbound lanes on the highway were closed for two hours as state police investigated.

The names of the men involved in the accident were not immediately released last night.
