Londonderry High faculty member contracts meningitis

LONDONDERRY — A Londonderry High School faculty member has been diagnosed with viral meningitis, but the superintendent said there is no cause for alarm.

Superintendent Nathan Greenberg sent a letter to parents in the district this morning to inform them of the situation.

In the letter, Greenberg stressed the state Department of Health and Human Services has not declared it a public health issue.

If parents notice their children experiencing symptoms such as vomiting, nausea or sleepiness, they are urged to contact the department at 271-4496.
