Two charged in alleged Londonderry road rage incident

LONDONDERRY — Two Londonderry men face charges after a motorist told police one was pointing a rifle out the window of a vehicle Tuesday on Nashua Road.

Matthew Debreceni, 20, and Brian Jones, 19, were arrested on Interstate 93 north about 9 p.m., according to police.

Debreceni is charged with criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and reckless danger in what the male caller told police was a road rage incident. Jones was charged with criminal liability for the conduct of another, police said.

The caller said a man stuck an “AK-style” weapon out the window, police said.

Police began pursuing the vehicle, stopping it on I-93 between Exits 4 and 5. The two men were arrested and taken to the Londonderry police station.

Debreceni was released on $1,000 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in 10th Circuit Court in Derry on June 24.

Jones was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is to appear in Circuit Court on July 16.
