Letter: Adams is best choice for state Senate

To the editor:

Please explain what is with politicians receiving and accepting endorsements and associating themselves with people of low character, such as Willie Lantigua, mayor of Lawrence. Show me your friends and those you associate with and I’ll tell you who you are.

State Sen. Barry Finegold owes his political life to Lantigua. At the last election, Lantigua’s influence put Finegold over top to win; therefore he owns Finegold.

It is time to send Finegold packing. I hope the hardworking and sensible voters of Tewksbury, Dracut, Andover and Lawrence come out strong and give Paul Adams a chance to represent us. If you want change, then let’s give him a chance. He is an up and coming young politician who can be molded to the working man’s needs and not the freeloaders. Make him accountable; make him our senator instead of Barry Finegold.

Don’t forget that Finegold is part of the tax-and-spend machine that squanders our tax dollars. The Senate has 36 Democrats and only four Republicans. With disproportionate representation like this, how can we have any accountability at the Statehouse?

Enough is enough. Finegold must go.
