Letter: Democrats are never accountable for welfare fraud

To the editor:

In response to the Sound Off titled “Welfare fraud” in Monday’s Eagle-Tribune, we feel your pain.

This is Massachusetts, where Democrats have had overwhelming control for years and there’s no end in sight. We elect corrupt politicians like John Tierney but choose to let decent ones walk, like Scott Brown. Democrats appeal to the emotions of voters and argue that their hearts are in the right place in order to fend off welfare critics.

In the end, there will be no accountability for losing 19,000 welfare recipients. If this is true, that’s a shame for the Democratic Party. How are they going to get these 19,000 people to the polls in the next election?
