Letter Bass knows 'new normal' is not acceptable

To the editor:

As a candidate for state representative, I am writing in support of Charlie Bass for Congress. Having volunteered to help Bass’ re-election efforts this summer, I came to know the man, his record and positions. I know that Charlie Bass is a man whose word can be trusted, as can his solid record of supporting low taxes and spending.

Like Bass, I also know that the “new normal” is unacceptable. Over the last four years, unemployment has been stuck over 8 percent, with millions more discouraged workers and trillion-dollar deficits. This is not normal. This is not America’s permanent destiny.

Like Congressman Bass, I want people to stay here in New Hampshire. Low taxes and low spending need to be the priority of all elected officials. That is why I am running for New Hampshire state representative in the Salem district, and that is why I

urge you to vote for Charlie Bass for Congress.

Joseph Sweeney
