A local bipolar support group is offering a special program on how to cope with depression during the holidays on Saturday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hampstead, N.H., Public Library.
The free program is sponsored by the Greater Hampstead Depression and Bipolar Support Group. It is open to anybody who has depression or bipolar disorder, as well as friends and family. Call Ron Rosetti at 603-560-3682 or go to DBSA-NH.org for information.
Grief support program
A program called "Death, Dying, Grief and Loss" will be presented by Merrimack Valley Hospice's volunteer and bereavement coordinator Lou LaBella and bereavement counselor Lois Marra. The program is Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 7 a.m. at Penacook Place in Haverhill.

Cardiology support group meets Dec. 5
Parkland Medical Center in Derry, N.H. will host a cardiology support group on Tuesday, Dec. 5 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The topic for this month's meeting is "Your Heart and How it Works."
The support group is led by registered nurse Denise Tomasi, the hospital's cardiac rehabilitation clinical coordinator.
The support group is free. It is regularly held the first Tuesday of each month in the in-service education classroom. For details or to register, call 603-432-1500 ext. 3076.
Flu clinics in North Andover
The North Andover Public Health Department is holding flu clinics for residents ages 18 and up.
The first clinic takes place Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon at the North Andover Senior Center. A second clinic is planned for Monday, Dec. 4 from 6 to 7 p.m. at North Andover Town Hall in the first-floor conference room. The cost is $15 for people younger than 65, and free for those ages 65 and up who bring a Medicare card or applicable insurance.
