Many consider Janis Ian to be one of the greatest American song writers. As the writer of “At Seventeen,” “Society’s Child” and “Jesse” to name just a few, Ian is a formidable talent, a force of nature, a great singer, guitarist, author, and activist.

The Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division Eight in Lawrence, is hosting “Misgivings, A Divine Comedy of Bellylaughs, Blessings, Blarney and Bingo” at the Relief’s In, 1 Market St. in South Lawrence, tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $20 and proceeds benefit the group’s Children’s Christmas Party.
In addition to the interactive comedy, other highlights include the O’Shea-Chaplin Irish Dancers, featuring World Champion step dancer Scott Doherty. John Connors and the Irish Express provide the music.

Theater in Windham
Windham High School Theater Company offers Shakespeare with a twist, tomorrow and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Windham High Theater. The school’s combined Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” and “A Comedy of Errors” for an interactive comedy that asks spectators to provide clues to help solve the a hilarious mystery.
Tickets are $8 for adult, $5 for students, at the door.
