In three simple steps you can make the perfect afterschool snack.
This snack packs a one-two punch: not only is it tasty, this recipe for Banana Sammies is healthy, even gluten-free, too.
Sweetened with honey and cream cheese, these bite-sized treats can feature any nut butter you prefer: almond, peanut or chocolate nut butter. And, for a special frozen treat, simply freeze these mini morsels after putting them together. Like little ice cream sandwiches, these Banana Sammies are the perfect alternative to the sugar and fat found in ice cream.
Easy to prepare and with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen, Banana Sammies are the perfect healthy snack for your children and those that are still children at heart.
