Kimberly Hahn leads women’s retreat at St. Thomas

DERRY, N.H. — Kimberly Hahn, wife of renowned Christian writer Scott, leads a retreat for women March 23 at St. Thomas Aquinas, 26 Crystal Ave.

“Women of Faith: Blessed and Called,” includes talks, adoration, lunch, confession and recitation of the Rosary. It ends with Mass at 4:30 p.m. Registration fee is $40 and the retreat is limited to 300 people.

In 1993, Hahn and her husband published, “Rome Sweet Home: Our Journey to Catholicism,” a book which details their conversion to Catholicism.

Scott Hahn was a Presbyterian minister and very anti-Catholic, but became interested in the church due to its stance on contraceptives. After prayer, Bible study, and reflection, he converted at Easter 1986. His wife is the daughter of a well-known Protestant minister, who also converted to Catholicism.

The Hahns were married in 1979.

In addition to Rome Sweet Home, Kimberly Hahn has published, “Catholic Education Homeward Bound,” co-written with Mary Hasson, 1996; “Life-Giving Love” co-written with Scott Hahn), 2001; “Genesis to Jesus,” co-written with Michael Barber, 2007 and “Chosen and Cherished: Biblical Wisdom for Your Marriage” 2007.

The retreat is sponsored by St. Thomas’ Knights of Columbus Council 3023. To register, contact the church at 603-432-5000.
