Maroon 5 in concert

Three-time Grammy winners Maroon 5 head to the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, N.H., Sunday, Feb. 17, at 7:30 p.m.

This fabulous band known for hits including “Makes Me Wonder,” “If I Never See Your Face Again,” and “Misery” took listeners by storm in 2005, capturing the Grammy for “Best New Artist.” Today, they’ve sold more than 17 million albums worldwide, with releases going gold and platinum in over 35 countries.

Neon Trees and Owl City open the show, making for a very hot ticket.

Mardi Gras with

Rockin’ Ralph

Rockin’ Ralph and the Squeezebox Stompers will bring Mardi Gras to the Cat in the Cradle Coffeehouse in Byfield on Saturday, Feb. 6.

“Get ready to savor the sounds of Bourbon Street as this award-winning band brings the best Louisiana music you will hear in New England to our stage,” said Heidi Framm, representing the coffeehouse.

To help set the mood, the café will serve up the tastes of New Orleans with authentic gumbo and New Orleans beer, among other treats.

The Cat in the Cradle Coffeehouse is hosted by the Byfield Community Arts Center, 7 Central St., Byfield. Doors open at 7:30, admission is $15 at the door. Food and beverage is available throughout the evening.

My funny day-after Valentine: An evening of stand-up laughs

Mike McDonald unleashes the funny at his 12th Annual Comedy Xxtravaganza on Friday, Feb 15., at 8 p.m. at The Music Hall.
