I was stationed at Stony Brook Air Force Station in Chicopee Falls as a special weapons fusing systems technician, elect.
It was Friday, Feb. 8, 1957, and I had just arrived in my home town of Sutton on leave. I stopped at the Blue Jay, a local hang-out, for a cup of coffee and to see who was there. I spotted two of my 1955 classmates, Laura A. Hutchinson and her friend, Jane, sitting in a booth.
