Kiwanis Club of Greater Lawrence boasts big meals, bigger hearts

"Three Dogz Diner, I think, are one of our longer [participants]," Wilson said. "They've been coming for years."

They're providing salad, homemade chips and salsa, and quiche.

"We've had a great turnout of people (in past years)," said Charlie Breen, president of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Lawrence. "(We've) raised a lot of money for children. It goes to a good cause."

He outlined some of the programs that the Kiwanis Club maintains, which include a Student of the Month award for elementary school students in the Greater Lawrence area, a citizenship award for high school students who demonstrate academic achievement and a commitment to community service, Key Clubs at multiple high schools, and more.
