---- — Summer isn’t over yet, and neither is the Lowell Summer Music Series.
Three more concerts are scheduled at Boarding House Park, 40 French St., this month. So mark your calendar and get your tickets before the area entertainment moves inside for ... yikes ... the cold months.
GREAT BIG SEA
7:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 23
True to their roots, Great Big Sea follows the sea-shanty tradition of Newfoundland by infusing spirit and energy of contemporary rock into their music. The group’s hard-driving approach has not only made them popular in their homeland, but has brought them a growing recognition throughout North America and Europe.
7:30 p.m., Friday AUG. 30
Joshua Radin has earned a loyal following for his wistful meditations and hushed, emotionally raw sound. His compositions have a proven track record having been sound-tracked on shows like “Grey’s Anatomy,” “American Idol” and “House.”
7:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 31
An Irish-American band, Solas has exposed the world to Celtic music through their fresh and compelling arrangements. In recordings and in concert, Solas has a mission to create a more open and meaningful dialogue about the issues facing in America today.
