Bleak holiday for young mom, daughter

By Judy Wakefield , Staff Writer
Eagle-Tribune

Summer's Christmas in Haverhill is looking extremely bleak.

Her mom, Cindy, is young and single, and money is so tight that buying anything for Summer is absolutely impossible.

"I can't afford anything for her because all the money I get goes to her diapers and food to eat," Cindy wrote in her letter to The Eagle-Tribune Santa Fund. "If I could have some help it would be greatly appreciated."

If there was extra money, Cindy said she would buy her daughter a cuddly doll or a Barbie.

"I wish it were different, but it's not," Cindy wrote.

If you can help Cindy and her daughter, Summer, send your contribution to the Santa Fund.
