LAWRENCE — Two 31-foot ladders left off at a Pleasant Street home were stolen before they could be used to paint the building.
Carol Rodriguez, 556 Howard St., told Detective Carmen Purpora she had left the two 31-foot Stanley ladders at the side of the house at 26 Pleasant St., about 9 p.m. Wednesday and when she returned to the home at 7 a.m. found the ladders had been stolen. She told police the ladders were secured with a chain and padlock, which were also missing.
Tenants in the building told police they were home all night and did not see or hear any suspicious activity.
There are no suspects, police said.
The theft was reported at 4 p.m. Thursday.
Motorcycle stolen
HAVERHILL — Thieves picked up a motorcycle, loaded it into a van or truck and drove away with it, police said.
Jack Farrington told Detective Daniel McDonald he parked the 2001 black Honda CBR600 in the visitor section of 30 Victor St., short after midnight Thursday, and discovered it was missing when he went out ]about 6:30 a.m.
Farrington told McDonald the motorcycle was locked with the wheel turned to the left so it could not be driven.
The theft was reported at 6:28 a.m. Thursday, police said.
