LAWRENCE — Call him the most hygenic thief ever.
Police issued a warrant for a city man who walked into the new CVS Pharmacy at 266 Broadway and stole “three complete shelves of deodorant” around 10:20 Tuesday night.
The swiped deodorant is worth $268, according to a police report.
A store investigator saw the man, wearing a gray fleece shirt and carrying a back pack, steal the deodorant and then followed him. The investigator provided police with color photos of the suspect.
Officer Thomas Murphy recognized him a 41-year-old man he’d seen earlier in his shift, wearing the same outfit. The man regularly hangs out on Broadway but could not be located Tuesday night. He’s now facing a larceny charge when captured, police said.
