Landfill hours extended

The Eagle-Tribune

---- — METHUEN — The city will keep the landfill open through Saturday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. and has waived the need for a landfill permit this week for any resident who wishes to dispose of debris from trees that have fallen.

The city has three private tree services working with the Methuen Tree Department to cut up and clear downed trees on city property and roads. Residents are responsible for clearing trees that are on their property and have fallen.

There is no charge to drop off brush or tree debris at the landfill.
