---- — ATKINSON — All gardeners and plant lovers alike are extended an enthusiastic invitation to one of the Atkinson Garden Club’s annual rites of spring.
In conjunction with greater Atkinson’s townwide activities, the Garden Club’s Spring Plant Sale will be in full bloom on Saturday, May 18, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kimball Public Library, 5 Academy Ave.
Club members have been diligently preparing bulbs, dividing perennials and potting them up for the sale.
All community gardeners are urged to participate. Early spring is a perfect time to divide and share those overcrowded and overabundant plants that provide so much beauty throughout the season.
Garden club members will be at the library early, from 7:30 a.m., to accept all offerings for the sale. Label as best you can, and pot them up in an appropriate size container.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the AGC’s Scholarship Fund and the varied educational programs offered to the community throughout the year.
