RTN Federal Credit Union has donated $50,000 to Lawrence General Hospital to help establish a high-fidelity Team Training and Simulation Lab.
The $150,000 lab will feature four training simulators in a fully equipped two-bed hospital room, along with an observation room, and small debriefing area.
The adult and pediatric simulators come with pre-programmed scenarios, a birthing simulator and a nursing simulator that replicate nearly every clinical scenario across LGH and the region. The lab is scheduled to open later this year.
“RTN is pleased to support Lawrence General Hospital and its mission to provide local, high-quality medical care,” said Richard E. Wright, treasurer and CEO of RTN. “We are proud to continue our collaborative partnership, and our mutual goals of serving the needs of the community.”
Dianne J. Anderson, president and CEO of Lawrence General, said the new simulation lab will offer our local providers advanced clinical training that has never been available locally.
“I cannot thank RTN Federal Credit Union enough for their generous support to help make this dream come true for us,” she said.
Founded in 1945, RTN is one of the largest credit unions in Massachusetts, with nearly $800 million in assets and 50,000 members.
