Methuen Arlington Neighborhood awarded $5K grant from ECCF

---- — METHUEN — Methuen Arlington Neighborhood, Inc. has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Essex County Community Foundation (ECCF) to review and update its fundraising plan.

The foundation helps support non-profit organizations in Essex County with operating budgets under $750,000. This year’s grants were awarded to 14 organizations throughout Essex County and selected from a pool of 47 proposals.

These organizations work to improve life in the county in the fields of arts and culture, education, environment, social and community services, and youth development.

The foundation acts as a catalyst for philanthropy, manager of charitable funds for donors and nonprofits, a grant maker, and a teacher and advisor to nonprofits and their boards.

During 2013 the foundation will provide over $3.5 million in grants and services.

The mission of Methuen Arlington Neighborhood, Inc. is to increase and enhance entrepreneurial opportunities, neighborhood investment, revitalization activities, and self-sufficiency of low and moderate income residents of the Methuen Arlington Neighborhood.
