Exchange Club announces public safety award recipients

ANDOVER — The Exchange Club of Lawrence will honor police officers, firefighters and EMTs from Lawrence, Andover and North Andover, at its annual Public Safety Awards Dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at the Wyndham Hotel.

Forty-one individuals will be recognized for their service. In addition to the recognition for this year’s honorees, again this year all uniformed police officers and firefighters from these communities are invited to the dinner as guests of the Exchange Club of Lawrence.

This year’s honorees are:

Andover Fire Department, Unit 1 Central Station: Deputy Chief James Dolan, Lt. Terrence Retelle, Lt. Todd Pomerleau, Firefighters Clifford Pattullo, Thomas Kennedy and Michael Oteri and Firefighter/EMTs Robert Murphy and Kevin Farragher.

Andover Unit 1 Ballardvale Station: Lt. John Ronan and Firefighters Shawn Kelley and Donald Hinckley.

Andover Unit 1 West Station: Lt. Robert Dalton, Firefighter Ernest Vocell and Todd Collins, Firefighter/EMTs Christopher Morgese and David Pas

Andover Police Department: Det. Kevin Aufiero

Lawrence Fire Department: Firefighter Francis Skusevich

Lawrence Police Department, Street Narcotics Enforcement Unit (SNEU): Capt. Roy Vasque; Lt. Mark Ciccarelli and Detectives David Moynihan, Dean Murphy, Carmen Purpora, Shaun Mclellan, Ryan Guthrie and Chad Lawlor

North Andover Fire Department: Lt. Bonenfant, Lt. Graham Rowe and Firefighter Sean Fountain, Scott Swiniarski, Jonathan McCarthy, Gary Ford, Gary Wentworth, John McClellan, Jeff Judge, Len Severino and Dan Pas.

North Andover Police Department: Officer Mark M. Wilson

Lawrence General Hospital: Jon Lovett and Jennifer Park

Patriot Ambulance: David Luciano – Patriot EMT-B and Dispatcher

Family, friends and members of the community are invited to attend the dinner for a ticket price of $25. The event begins with a social hour at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m.

“This is one of our most important events” said Rick Blain, Event Chairman. “Every year the department chiefs tell us how grateful are their men and women that the Exchange Club pays tribute to the honorees, and all members of their department. We are thrilled to recognize such deserving men and women, people who routinely put the safety and well-being of others ahead of their own.”
