HAMPSTEAD — The annual Meet the Candidates Night is scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the town office building. All candidates have been invited to participate.
Sponsored by the Hampstead Cable TV Advisory Board, the presentation will be broadcast live and home viewers will be able to call in with questions to 329-4100, Ext. 0. Questions, submitted in writing, will also be taken from the audience. The program will be rebroadcast before March 11.

EAST HAMPSTEAD — A Soup and Sandwich Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, March 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at East Hampstead Union Church, 225 E. Main St., Route 121A, just south of Route 111.
Offerings include a variety of soups and sandwiches, chips, pickles, assorted beverages and desserts. The suggested donation $6 per person supports the church’s operating fund.

Escape to the ‘South Pacific’ in March
KINGSTON — Come see this year’s musical on the Sanborn stage, Rodger’s and Hammerstein’s “South Pacific.” Performance dates are March 14-16 at the Sanborn Regional High School auditorium.
Show times are Friday, March 14, and Saturday, March 15, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 16, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors, and free admission to any active or retired military.

ServiceLink offers ‘New to Medicare’ workshops
ServiceLink Resource Center of Rockingham County is offering several “New to Medicare” workshops. The first workshop will be Tuesday, March 11, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Hampstead Public Library, 9 Mary E. Clark Drive.
On Monday, April 14, the workshop will be offered at Kelley Library, 234 Main St., Salem, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. On Monday, May 5, the workshop will be offered at Kingston Community Library, 2 Library Lane, from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
These workshops will review the basics of Medicare Part A and Part B, Medicare Prescription Drug Plans, Medicare Supplemental Plans, Medicare Advantage, and Preventing Medicare Fraud and Abuse. Space is limited; call ServiceLink at 893-9769 for more information and to reserve a seat.
Register for kindergarten in Salem
SALEM — Kindergarten registration sessions will be offered March 18-20 at the school superintendent’s office.
Children must be 5 years old by Sept. 30 to register. The sessions are Tuesday, March 18, and Wednesday, March 19, between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and Thursday, March 20, between 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
After March 20, call the superintendent’s office at 893-7040 to schedule an appointment. The office, near Salem High School, is at 38 Geremonty Drive.
Timberlane plans its Health and Fitness Fair
PLAISTOW — The Timberlane Regional School District will hold its fifth annual Health and Fitness Fair on March 19 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. The health fair, which is free and open to the public, will take place at the Timberlane Regional High School. The snow date is March 20.
There will be information on nutrition, diabetes awareness, concussion awareness, Lyme disease, blood pressure screenings, hearing screenings, acupuncture, naturopathic medicine, massage, health and fitness topics, and many more informative booths.
Also, the marrow registry, “Be the Match and Donate Life” organizations will be at the health fair. For those interested, it involves a simple cheek swab and is covered by most health insurance. Michael’s Fund of Fall River will cover the cost for those without coverage.
