Bill Dalton is a former town moderator and selectman, and is a longtime columnist for the Andover Townsman. Katharine Dalton is a grant writer and former executive director of the Autism Foundation of Georgia.

In their book, they offer stories about characters such Sarah Abbot, Benjamin Punchard, and Yvon Cormier, philanthropists who contributed to Andover’s youth; teachers such as the Stack sisters and Ted Boudreau, who kept Andover’s standards high; literary talents Harriet Beecher Stowe and Mary McGarry Morris, who made life poignant and interesting, and present day characters such as Jay Leno, who keeps America amused.
