Fido and Fluffy can meet Santa at the mall Sunday

SALEM, N.H. — Pets can visit with Santa at The Mall at Rockingham Park on Sunday and again on Sunday, Nov. 24.

Photo opportunities will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. All pets must be leashed or in a crate.

Since the mall will be closed at that time, people and pets should go to the entrance between Tutti Frutti and Macy’s.

Santa will be available to meet with children at the mall every day through Christmas.

Zanni names John Petralia Artist of the Month

METHUEN — Methuen resident Joe Bella nominated his cousin, the late John Petralia, for artist of the month.

Bella said his cousin loved to paint portraits. John, who was born in Lawrence but lived for most of his life in Methuen, passed away three months ago, he was 99 years old.

“John was a talented individual, he had a great knack for capturing the spirit of the people whom he painted,” Zanni said. “I am grateful that Joe was willing to share his cousin’s work with us.”

The Artist of the Month Program was started six years ago, in order to give members of Methuen’s art community a forum to display their work and to encourage participation in Methuen’s growing creative economy. Artists interested in being considered for Artist of the Month should contact Juliette Cormier at 978-983-8505.
