ANDOVER — The Massachusetts School of Law trial advocacy team continued its recent run of success in the 2010 Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition, finishing third in the highly competitive Northeast region.
In the competition, sponsored by the National Black Law School Students Association, MSL finished behind only Harvard Law School, which took the top two spots. MSL will now advance to the national final, which starts Wednesday and runs through Sunday in Cambridge.
This success is particularly relevant at a time when the prospect of a public law school option for Massachusetts has been before the Legislature and in the news. For over 20 years, MSL, a private law school, has provided the state and region with a low-cost alternative for students seeking a high-quality legal education. At $14,490 per year, MSL features the lowest law school tuition in New England. The success of the school's trial teams is a testament to the strength and quality of the students, program and faculty.
The Northeast region is comprised of 33 schools in New York, New England and northern New Jersey.
