Man sentenced in child porn case

(Continued)

In September, the U.S. Attorney’s office announced it was negotiating a plea agreement with Keller, a former pediatric endocrinologist at Boston Children’s Hospital and pediatrics instructor at Phillips Academy in Andover for 19 years.

Keller had pleaded not guilty in December 2012 to two counts of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography following his indictment on the charges.

The announcement on Thomas’ sentencing was made by U.S. Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz; and Kevin Niland, inspector in charge of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service; together with the Andover Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Kenneth G. Shine of Ortiz’s Major Crimes Unit.
