---- — With shorter days and crisp mornings, a trip to the beach may be the last thing on your mind. However, the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce is making sure that everyone has a reason to visit the coast next weekend for the Portsmouth and Seacoast restaurant week.
“Restaurant Week Portsmouth and the Seacoast is a great opportunity for people to travel to this historic seaport and find out why it’s such a great culinary destination,” said Kathleen Soldati, who is helping to organize the event.
“Visitors can make a day of it – come for the independent shops, historic tours, and the nightlife; or an overnight or weekend to stretch out their visit and really relax in this wonderful small walk-able city,” Soldati added.
From Thursday, Nov. 7, through Saturday, Nov. 16, more than 50 restaurants from Portsmouth, N.H., to Kittery, Maine, and beyond will be offering three-course fixed-price menus for $16.95 during lunch and $29.95 during dinner. Participants include favorite local seafood joints, as well as more exotic eateries, including those serving Indian food and sushi.
“There are so many options to choose from,” Soldati said.
