Chris Bardwell’s transition from Central Catholic reserve to impact starter at North Andover was completed this past week when the Knights’ power forward was named Merrimack Valley Conference Division 1 Most Valuable Player by the league coaches.
Bardwell averaged over 21 points a game to lead the Division 1 co-champion Knights.
Junior guard Anthony Dionne, who averages 12.6 points a game for Haverhill, was named the MVC Division 2 Most Valuable Player.
The area duo was joined by 10 others on the All-Conference team, including all five starters from Central Catholic.
