PELHAM — After a month-long investigation, the New Hampshire State Police arrested James Murnane Jr., 54, of Pelham yesterday on numerous charges.
The charges include identity fraud, tampering with public records, unsworn falsification and receiving stolen property.
State police Troop G received information that Murnane had fraudulently obtained a New Hampshire non-driver identification card and a driver’s license after assuming someone else’s identity.
Murnane was taken into custody at the 10th Circuit Court in Salem, where he was present for unrelated matters.
He was held on $10,000 cash bail pending his arraignment in the 10th Circuit Court today.
The New Hampshire State Police were assisted by the Londonderry Police Department, Pelham Police Department and the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.
