NORTH ANDOVER – Those who savor the delights of frozen yogurt will have the opportunity to indulge in this passion and at the same time help people with developmental challenges this evening.
From 3 to 9:30 p.m., 20 percent of the proceeds at Zinga, a new frozen yogurt shop at 560 Turnpike St., will be donated to Best Buddies, a North Andover High School club that pairs students with young people who have special needs.
The high school chapter is affiliated with the national Best Buddies organization. The officers are North Andover High students Samantha Girroir, Kyle Quinn, Alec Brown, Molly Ryan, Aislinn McAvoy and Nate Richards.
The goal of Best Buddies, according to the North Andover public schools website, is to establish foundations for genuine friendships, develop communication skills, build self-esteem and enrich the lives of all participants in the program.
