NORTH ANDOVER — Two Haverhill residents were arrested after crashing a stolen car twice Tuesday afternoon.
Jeffrey Byron, 31, 17 Eastern Ave., Haverhill, and Nicole Callahan, 20, 77 Hoyt Road in Bradford, were arrested at 3:36 p.m. off Osgood Street and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle.
Byron rear ended a vehicle Tuesday afternoon, police said, but sped away from that crash. A short time later he crashed the car into a pole, and he and Callahan fled on foot, where police chased and caught them.
The car was reported stolen out of Newton, N.H. Byron also was charged with driving with a suspended license and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
