Frye Circle apartments to get new windows

---- — ANDOVER — The Andover Housing Authority has been awarded $306,590 from the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development to be used for the replacement of all Frye Circle Apartment windows.

Housing Authority Chairman James Cuticchia said 192 windows will be replaced with vinyl clad double hung windows and it is expected that the work will begin in April 2014.

Frye Circle at 256 North Main St. has 96 apartments and each unit has two large windows.

In addition, the Housing Authority has been awarded $25,500 for tree trimming and some tree removal on all of its properties, the replacement of iron handrails in Chestnut Court and the replacement of main door units and thresholds in the double-decker buildings of Chestnut Court. Work on these items is expect to begin next month.
