LOWELL — National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell will be the commencement speaker at the UMass-Lowell graduating ceremony on Sunday, May 30.
The Eagle-Tribune has learned the university will announce it later today.
Goodell’s father, former New York republican Senator Charles Goodell, who passed away in 1987, will be receiving an honorary degree from the unversity.
Goodell is also scheduled to be on hand for a dinner the night before graduation in which it will be announced a scholarship in his father’s name will be endowed.
