HAVERHILL -- After using X-ray to identify the contents of an abandoned black case left at 12 Washington Square, police now say the case only contained a license plate.
The suspicious case, which was discovered about 6:50 a.m. this morning was being treated as a possible bomb threat. Police had cordoned off the area while investigating. According to police, they will now try to track down the owner of the plate to determine why the case had been left there.
