NORTH ANDOVER — The plan to build 240 apartments on Berry Street faced another hearing before the Zoning Board of Appeals on Tuesday night.
Engineers for the developer, North Andover Holdings LLC, discussed the water and sewage disposals systems they have planned for the apartment complex.
The initial plan called for five buildings of 48 apartments each. That plan was recently changed to four buildings.
North Andover Holdings applied for a permit to build the apartments under Chapter 40B, the state law that exempts developers from local zoning regulations if they propose to build homes for people with less than average incomes and less than 10 percent of the city or town’s housing is considered affordable.
If the Zoning Board of Appeals approves the project, known as Riding Academy Preserve, 25 percent of the apartments, or a total of 60, will be set aside for tenants earning below-average incomes.
