Bridge meeting Thursday

HAVERHILL - The MBTA will host a community meeting to discuss the planned rehabilitation of the downtown railroad bridges on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. in Room 301 of City Hall, 4 Summer St. The MBTA project team will discuss proposed rehabilitation of bridges, construction schedule and impact to service. This meeting will include a question and answer session and comments will be accepted from the public. If you have a disability and need an accommodation to fully participate in this meeting, American Sign Language interpreters, assistive listening devices, handouts in alternate formats or other helpful aids will be provided upon request. City to hold flu shot clinics

HAVERHILL - Flu shot clinics will be held for senior citizens and uninsured individuals only. The clinics are Oct. 9, 10 and 11, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St. There is no charge, but seniors should bring their insurance cards. NH art featured at Leach Library

LONDONDERRY — Leach Library on Mammoth Road regularly hosts area artists for special displays and exhibits around the library.

Featured in October is the work of artist Eileen Belanger of New Boston. Her paintings show familiar scenes and landscapes around New Hampshire. She is also known for her mural work.

The art display at Leach Library runs through Oct. 31.
