---- — LAWRENCE — Lawrence Groundwork and Lawrence CommunityWorks in partnership with the City of Lawrence Community Development Department will host a public meeting this Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at LCW’s Our House on Newbury Street.
The goal of the meeting is to ask the community for guidance on an new riverfront park that will be built on the banks of the Spicket River.
A follow-up meeting on May 18 will be held to present designs based on the community’s goals.
Funding is in hand to begin construction this fall with a ribbon cutting in the spring.
Audition for Treble Chorus of New England
ANDOVER — If you have a child age 7-18 who is interested in singing, please come and audition for the Treble Chorus of New England. Auditions are currently being scheduled for the Summer and Fall seasons on Monday evenings in May and June at the West Parish Church, 129 Reservation Road,
In addition, auditions are being scheduled for the fully staged ‘‘Hands on Opera” program including a opera workshop in August. Register now for summer courses at NECC
Northern Essex Community College is offering a wide variety of summer courses to help students lighten their load for an upcoming semester or complete their degree more quickly. Courses are open to NECC students as well as to students from other colleges who are home for the summer. Registration is taking place now.
NECC offers three convenient summer sessions: Session One, May 14 through June 14, classes meet three or four times a week; Session Two, May 18 through July 27, classes meet for ten Saturdays; and Session Three, June 17 through August 8, classes meet two times a week. There are day, evening, and online options available.

Breakfast for Tiffany on April 20
HAVERHILL — The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Methuen/Merrimack Valley team ‘Together For Tiffany’ is holding a pancake breakfast fundraiser on Saturday, April 20, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Applebee’s, 56 Plaistow Road.
Tickets are $5 and include a pancake breakfast, coffee, juice and milk. Great raffles including a pair of Redsox tickets, Lia Sophia jewelry, Tastefully Simple basket, signed sports memorabilia and more.
