MASSACHUSETTS

AMESBURY

Today: Artist studios open, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., 14 Cedar St.; Car show, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., town parking lot; Demijon Music Clan performs, 4-5:30 p.m., Upper Millyard,

July 4: Pancake breakfast, 7-11 a.m., First United Methodist Church Town Park; Performances at Woodsom Farm: Audio Rush, 4:30-5:30 p.m.; Third Real, 6-7:15 p.m.; Merrimack Valley Concert Band, 7:30-9:15 p.m. Fireworks, Woodsom Farm, 9:15 p.m.

ANDOVER

Today: Fireworks, Andover High, at dusk.

July 4: Activities in The Park, at Bartlet and Chestnut streets. Pancake breakfast, 8-11 a.m.; Blair Bettencourt Jazz Band performs, 8-9:30 a.m.; Horribles Parade, 9:30 a.m.; Monkey & Me, 10-11 a.m.; Middlesex Concert Band, 10:30 a.m.-noon.

BOXFORD

July 5: Jennifer Tinney Memorial Road Race, 8 a.m. from Middleton and Georgetown roads. Parade at 10 a.m., from Cahoon and Topsfield roads to East Boxford fire station.

HAVERHILL

Today: Haverhill Stadium opens at 5:30 p.m., with food and music by Good Times DJ, 6-7 p.m.; "Haverhill Idol" Katie Amaro, 6:45 p.m.; and The B Street Bombers, 7-9 p.m. Fireworks at 9 p.m. Admission: $1.

LAWRENCE

July 4: Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration, Heritage State Park, 1 Jackson St., 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; Basketball Tournament and Baseball Classic, outside Lawrence Veterans Memorial Stadium, off Route 114, 3-9 p.m.; Family-fun games at stadiuum, 3-9 p.m. Fireworks at 9 p.m.

NORTH ANDOVER

Today: Performances on The Common, off Massachusetts Avenue, by Joe Sambo, 2:15-3:30 p.m. and Russ McQueen, 5-8 p.m. Fireworks at dusk at middle school.

July 4: Mason's Breakfast, Masonic Lodge, Johnson Street, 8-11 a.m. Activities move to The Common with a Doll Carriage and Bike Parade, noon-1 p.m.; family games, 1-2:30 p.m. and Super Humans performance, 2:30-4:30 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

NEW HAMPSHIRE

ATKINSON

July 4: The Star-Spangled Front Porch Patriotic Sing-along, 7-8 p.m., Pentucket Baptist Church, 8 East Road. Admission, free. Sundaes and church bells follow. Fireworks at dusk.

DERRY

July 4: Fireworks at 9 p.m.

PELHAM

Today: Festivities at Pelham Elementary School at 4 p.m. with fire and police demonstrations; 4:15 p.m., bike and doll carriage parade and music by The Edge at Pelham Crossroads Baptist Church. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

SALEM

Today and July 4: Fireworks to music at Canobie Lake Park at 9:30 p.m.

July 4: Festivities at Salem High at 4 p.m. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. over Grant Field.

WINDHAM:

Today: Windham Town Days at Griffin Park and Windham High. Tennis at 10 a.m. at the park, contact Lynn at 898-2881 to pre-register. Cookout at noon with free hot dogs and hamburgers while supplies last and music by a disc jockey, bouncy houses and games until 3 p.m. Parade on ballfield at 1 p.m., followed by field games until 2:30 p.m. High School parking lot opens at 5:30 p.m. for the fireworks and refreshments will be sold. The Reminisants perform at 7 p.m. Fireworks at 9 p.m.
