METHUEN - Do you want to improve your skills to communicate in English or pass the GED to get a better job, or enter college or a training program?
If so, new classes are starting soon at the Methuen Adult Learning Center, 36 Boylston St., to help you achieve those goals. All classes are free.

Morning classes in: 3 Levels of ESOL and GED preparation, ESOL for Career Pathways and
Distance Learning integrated ESOL instruction.
Classes are funded by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Methuen Public Schools and City of Methuen.
Food Addicts informational meeting Jan. 26
ANDOVER - Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous will hold an a information session Saturday Jan. 26 from 10-11:30 a.m. at Christ Church, 25 Central St. There will be a panel of FA members speaking and opportunities to ask questions.
FA is a non-profit program that provides a physical, mental and spiritual solution for food addiction. In FA, individuals who have been obese, too thin, or otherwise obsessed with food have found a solution that frees them from these problems. FA is based on the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. There are no dues, fees, or weigh-ins at FA meetings.
Newcomers are also welcome at weekly meetings in Andover on Saturdays at 7:45 a.m. at Christ Church as well as on Wednesdays at 9:15 a.m. at St Augustine’s Education Center at 35 Essex St.

NORTH ANDOVER - The Friends of Harold Parker State Forest and the state Department of Conservation and Recreation are hosting free weekly winter walks in the woods every Wednesday from 10-11:30 a.m. Particpants should meet at the park headquarters at 305 Middleton Road.
