---- — NORTH ANDOVER – A guest who became angry when the host wouldn’t let him drive because he had consumed too much liquor early Sunday morning smashed the host’s windshield, police said.
The incident was reported at 3:56 a.m. and happened at 8 Baldwin St., according to the police log. The angry guest will face a clerk-magistrate’s hearing on a charge of malicious damage to property, according to police Lt. Charles Gray.
The guest was transported away from the house by Diamond Taxi. Officers Michael Reardon and William Brush investigated the incident.
Gray said the host acted responsibly by not letting the guest drive when he had had too much to drink.
