Burglar leaves blood trail

LAWRENCE — A burglar threw a brick through a bedroom window to get into a Farley Street apartment and stole a desktop computer and printer, police said,

But the burglar cut him or herself and left a trail of blood drops from the bedroom to the computer and back out to the doorway.

Lawrence Marocco told Officer Francis Bradley he found the break-in when he returned home at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Marocco told Bradley the Hewlett Packard Pavillion desktop computer and the Hewlett Packard ink jet printer were the only items taken.

There are no suspects, police said.

Motorized wheelchair stolen

HAVERHILL — A motorized wheelchair that had been chained to a railing in front of a Winter Street home was stolen Monday night, police said.

Anthony Martinez told Officer Craig Lambert he had parked his grandmother's wheelchair in front of the home Monday night where it was chained to a railing.

He told Lambert he last saw it at 10 p.m. and noticed it missing at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

The chair, valued at $500 was red and had some blue in the back.

The theft was reported at 11:42 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

There are no suspects, police said.

Fireworks complaint: 945 Riverside Drive, 10:27 p.m.
