LAWRENCE — They dunked and kayaked the day away.
More than 200 children spent yesterday — their final day in Lawrence's summer recreation program with a fun-filled day at the Abe Bashara boathouse, home to the Greater Lawrence Community Boating Program.
The kids took to the water for boat rides and kayak races. On land, there was a dunk tank, moon bounce, slip and slide, talent show and a DJ that provided music all day long, said Jed Koehler, the boating program's executive director.
"It was a great day," Koehler said.
