METHUEN — The city’s annual Veterans Expo will be Wednesday at the Senior Activity Center at 77 Lowell St. from 3 to 5 p.m.
An annual event organized by the Methuen Veterans Services Office and the Senior Activity Center, the Veterans Expo offers veterans access to information about local, state and federal programs, as well as a chance to connect with the many non-profit organizations that service veterans.
“We have a variety of groups and agencies represented, and I think our veterans find this event to be especially helpful,” said city Veterans Agent Tom Hargreaves.
Hargreaves noted that this year’s Expo will follow last year’s format by being more structured, inviting and informative. The expo will specifically feature a buffet-style presentation, with veterans able to visit different booths of the participating agencies that pique their interest.
“This will be a more efficient use of everyone’s time,” said Hargreaves. “My hope is our veterans are better able to connect with the programs that will benefit them.”
