NORTH ANDOVER — A traffic stop led to a drug possession with intent to distribute arrest yesterday morning.
After learning the license of Erik Lang was suspended, Detective Robert Barter stopped him at Andover and Peters streets a few minutes after 8 a.m., according to police Lt. Charles Gray. Further investigation revealed Lang had three-quarters of a pound of marijuana with him, Gray said.
Barter arrested Lang, 20, of 25 Glenwood St., and charged him with driving after license suspension, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana. Gray said he could not provide an estimate on how much money three-quarters of a pound or marijuana would fetch, but he added that amount indicates Lang had it for “more than personal use.”
