LAWRENCE — Pork chops, ham, pastrami, aspirin and hand cream.
That's the grocery list of items a woman was arrested for trying to steal from a local supermarket Tuesday afternoon.
Police said Tonya Kelley, 42, of 7 Easton St., hid the items, valued at $18.07, in her coat pockets as she attempted to exit the Market Basket at 700 Essex St. at 2:17 p.m. The supermarket's surveillance cameras caught her and a store manager detained her until police arrived.
Kelley had $7 when she was arrested, $11.07 less than she needed to pay for two pork chops ($8.35), honey baked ham ($1.88), Ibuprofen ($2.99), Lubriderm ($2.50) and pastrami ($2.35), police said.
Police charged Kelley with shoplifting under $100.
